QuickNAV Boating School Becomes QuickNAV Marine Training Centre (QMTC) Incorporated
QuickNAV will still be known as the "Boating School", but has formally changed its name to QuickNAV Marine Training Centre Inc. on August 17th, 2011.
NORTH VANCOUVER, BC, September 22, 2011 /Canada PR News/ -- QuickNAV will still be known as the "Boating School", but has formally changed its name to QuickNAV Marine Training Centre Inc. on August 17th, 2011.
According to Ron Snelgrove, owner, "We have always been known as the Boating School for pleasure boaters, however we also offer Transport Canada accredited commercial courses. The name change allows us to better encompass and enhance the two."
QuickNAV continues to offer boating instruction to both commercial and pleasure boaters. Courses include the Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOC), VHF Radio, Introduction to Radar and GPS, Coastal Navigation, Chart Reading, Power Boat Handling, Marine Emergency Duties (MED A3), Small Vessel Operator Proficiency (SVOP), Chart Work and Pilotage CP1 for Master Limited 60 GT and Fishing Master IV, and Simulated Electronic Navigation Limited (SEN -L).
Courses are available at the main North Vancouver office or on the water. Some courses are available on the Sunshine Coast, in the Comox Valley, Tofino, Port Alberni, Ucluelet, and in the Yukon. QuickNAV also offers private and group classes year round.
