TORONTO, CANADA, February 20, 2011 /Canada PR News/ -- Halifax emcee Spesh K is an elite emcee equipped with intricate flows, dynamic rhyme schemes, and a knack for rocking the crowd. He is the type of artist who thrives during a live atmosphere and is known for his witty punch lines, topical tracks, and energetic performances. Spesh is constantly putting in work, he has shared the stage with artists such as Ghostface, Cappadonna, Irs, The Game, Lupe Fiasco, Choclair, Classified, Special Ed, K'naan, and more. Six albums deep and far from a rookie, Spesh K has garnered a great deal of national media coverage and video/radio play.
An album "Media Coverage" was released in November 2006 by Urbnet, and his next release "The Main Event" exposed his growth and maturity, it was recorded entirely in Montreal, and features appearances by Sadat X (Brand Nubian), Moka Only, Mic Boyd, Copywrite, and more. The title track from the album earned Spesh, along with Hotbox & DJ Y Rush an East Coast Music Award (ECMA) in 2009 for Hip Hop single of the year.
Since moving to Toronto from Halifax in April 2008 Spesh has performed in Montreal (Under Pressure), Belleville, Hamilton, Milton, Picton, Barrie, Ottawa, London, Toronto (Manifesto), and Kingston finally breaking out as a national rather than local artist. Spesh K is poised to be acknowledged as one of Canada's greatest Hip Hop artists. A recent album/DVD "90209″ has many highlights of the Classified 'Self Explanatory' tour, recording the album, a visit to the zoo, and more. He also runs an online radio show titled "Big Specials House", and his latest single "Can't Put A Price On Love" featuring R&B artist Cory Lee is currently nominated for Rap/Hip Hop Single Track Recording of the Year for East Coast Music Award (ECMA) 2011. The 2011 East Coast Music Week will be held on April 13-17 in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island .
