Artist Vesa Peltonen was commissioned to do an artwork to prints to commemorate Dr. Jane Goodall's 40th year
studying animals.
THUNDER BAY, ON, CANADA, July 31, 2010 /Canada PR News/ -- Vesa Peltonen was commissioned to design and produce a small limited edition series to commemorate Dr. Jane Goodall's 40th year studying animals in the wild. Mr. Peltonen is the only artist whose art she has endorsed and signed the serigraph prints for the special event and fundraising. Only a few are left.
Dr.Goodall has spent more time in the last 15 years touring to lecture on the plight of animals in the wild especially the reduction of the chimpanzees. They are the closest species to humans in the natural process of evolution. She also brings about awarenes of the desforestation going on in the jungles of central Africa, causing also the threat of loss of animal habitat. She has studied one species longer than any other scientist.
Peltonen depicts in his artwork the more serene setting of animals in the place where Dr. Goodall had her main African headquarters, with workers still carrying on her duties while she works in more public relations campains.
