Aparc Systems Apparent Successful Proposer for Juneau, Alaska Contract
Twenty Four of Aparc's SIEMENS Pay-Stations Considered for Alaska's Capital City
SAN FRANCISCO, CA, July 16, 2010 /Canada PR News/ -- On Thursday, July 8, 2010, the Selection Committee Members of City and Borough of Juneau, Alaska arrived at an unanimous conclusion in the proposal evaluation process that Aparc Systems is the apparent successful proposer for the supply and installation of multi-space parking pay stations. The proposal calls for multi-space, pay-by-license plate parking pay stations and handheld enforcement devices for use in the downtown core. If successful, Aparc will be contracted to supply and install 24 SIEMENS pay stations and Motorola handheld enforcement devices equipped with Aparc's proprietary TicketManager enforcement software, fully integrated into a seamless network aimed at improving parking occupancy in the City and revitalizing the downtown area.
Aparc and its unparalleled multi-space parking pay stations and handheld enforcement solution has passed the preliminary assessment as the superior choice, scoring on average 20% higher in the proposal evaluation process compared to the first runner-up proposer. Aparc's SIEMENS pay stations are environmentally friendly and robustly engineered to be durable and practical. Its high-grade stainless steel construction, from prism-shaped exterior casing to tactile components such as buttons, make for the ideal solution for high-traffic wear and tear and Juneau's cold and wet climate.
Handheld enforcement devices supplied by Aparc complete with proprietary enforcement and citation software, TicketManager , communicate in real-time with the new parking pay stations so that parking enforcement officers of Juneau Police Department can more efficiently target violating vehicles. From the time it takes to identify a violating vehicle to printing and issuing a citation with this new system, it takes less than seven (7) seconds! In 2009, the Juneau Police issued nearly 8,000 on-street parking citations. With Aparc's TicketManager , used in issuing over 10 million citations annually nation-wide, Juneau's parking enforcement officers can look forward to a faster and more accurate method of recording and issuing citations over out-dated and illegible, manual methods of writing tickets.
Overcoming the protest period per Purchasing Code 53.50.062 should Aparc emerge the successful proposer, Aparc looks forward to working with the City and Borough of Juneau and adding another on-street pay-by-license plate solution to our growing US portfolio.
Aparc Systems, Inc., US headquartered in San Francisco, is an innovative leader in the distribution of multi-space pay-stations, management software, and a proprietary enforcement system.
