G4S Security Services Achieves ISO 27001 with Titus Labs
Leading security operations firm classifies emails and documents to prevent inadvertent data leakage, comply with emerging ISO compliance requirements
OTTAWA, CANADA, March 26, 2010 /Canada PR News/ -- G4S Security Services Bulgaria is now using Titus Labs Message (TMC) and Document Classification (TDC) to support ISO 27001 security requirements. The firm is a subsidiary of the international group G4S which operates in 110 countries and employs more than 585,000 people worldwide. G4S Security Services Bulgaria, is the first organization in the country to achieve ISO 27001 compliance, and in support of this initiative has rolled out Titus Labs' solution to its more than 1000 employees.
ISO 27001 is an emerging Information Security Management System standard that requires the protection of information assets for risk avoidance. The system requires that organizations bring information security, including labelling and classification of emails and documents, under explicit management control. Organizations that claim to have adopted ISO 27001 can therefore be formally audited and certified compliant with the standard.

Since deploying the Titus Labs' offering, G4S Security Services Bulgaria has achieved ISO 27001 compliance, and is protecting data from improper or unauthorized disclosure. Email and documents are all visually labelled, with clearly identifiable handling instructions and metadata leveraged by Microsoft Active Directory. Employees are handling classification within their existing workflows in Microsoft Office and Outlook, with very little training. With the investment in Titus Labs, the organization has been able to fulfill the ISO 27001 certification requirements for classification with little impact on its employees, administrators or budget.
